Is there a chess club in south Dublin?
Yes. Dún Laoghaire Chess Club meets every Wednesday, 19:30–22:30, at the Eblana Club, 3 Eblana Avenue, Dún Laoghaire, A96 DX74, in the centre of Dún Laoghaire town.
The Eblana Club is just behind St Michael's Church, a short walk from Dún Laoghaire DART station, and there is good parking nearby. The club does not move venue from year to year, so you will find us in the same place every Wednesday.
New members of any age and ability are welcome. Your first night is free, sets and clocks are provided, and there is normally someone at the club to welcome you. Ordinary membership is €120 a year and junior membership (under 18) is €60 a year.
The Irish Chess Union keeps a list of every affiliated club in Ireland if you want to compare clubs near you.
